Woke up in Hulhule Island Hotel to board seaplane air taxi at abt 7-ish am. Reached Rangali and checked in about 8-ish. Welcome by Justine. Think she's french. Was immediately captivated by the beauty of this place. Took a walk around Rangali and saw dolphins swimming in the distance. One jumped out of water and spun. M missed that because it happened too fast. Ha ! She did spot a trigger fish swimming by the shore. Went snorkelling in the house reef in the afternoon. Saw many many fish of many many colours. Makes Pulau Aur look bad. |

Restaurant was having "Maldivian Night theme for dinner. We were told that Mantas swim right up to our resort jetty because they are attracted by the Xmas lights. Went to look for Manta at the jetty...nothing. Was quite intrigued by the other fish though, including the zebra fish. Hung at the jetty there for around an hour listening to this super extended maldivian song… It goes something like …."Ooh eh bah leh bah…" x 500 |
