| Went for Island
hopping on the speed boat Manta 1. 3 other couples. Old american couple living
in HK, another in Kuwait working for the embassy and the last was some Korean
guy and Turkish wife who just moved from Paris to HK. M thought the guy
looked like a boyscout or some NUS student union leader and the I thought the
turkish lady looked a teeny bit like Penelope Cruz..a bit bigger maybe.
1st island was populated by Maldivians. We took a tour around the place. Thought it was nothing much besides an 800 yr old mosque. Looks just like any seaside village in Melaka...of course nicer water. Bought a towel that had a map of Maldives on it just as a souvenir and also because I thought we should help out since they looked rather backward. Seems like all young maldivians want to get out while we are all trying to flock in for our holidays. 1 shopowner said he had a bro running a business in Sabah and 1 in Singapore working. Nahid, a waiter at our resort restaurant, always tries to talk to us for the same reason. Probably checking out if we could find opportunities for him. Wish I could help. The pasta man at the restaurant also tried to chat M up for the same reason. He's supposed to give us his contact but till now we haven't received anything. Nahid said that his jail is our freedom and vice-versa. |

| 2nd island was a deserted island. We snorkelled around and had our picnic lunch there. The snorkelling was no big deal but it was fun to eat out and have someone else do the cleaning up. Another party from another island was there too. Guess we can call them trespassers since the island belongs to Hilton. | Agent 006 |

Last island was a scuba resort, Angaga. Probably one of the cheaper ones. We each had a cornetto which costs USD3 each. Snorkelling was great. Decided to forget the fins coz they were too troublesome. Saw a school of dolphins swimming by. They were nearer than the ones we saw in hilton but were still quite far out. They showed off some acrobatics too. A few spun and one did a back flip. They swam parallel to the beach so they stayed in view for quite a while. Got some gooey black stuff on my sandals. Yuck. Can't seem to clean them completely. Think it's grease. Gonna throw them away. | Angaga Resort |

| Ate the fish we caught. Think it's the red snapper. Grilled with lemon. Tasted ok lah. Saw Amidala at dinner. As usual dressed to the nines. Her mum too. They must be the best-dressed people on the island. Think the young dude from the villa a few doors down managed to get her. His brother seems to be hanging out with her bro these days. We always seem to turn into super kaypohs on holiday trips...I must say it is quite interesting to people-watch | Red Snapper ? |

| Tried to smuggle some bread out with the help of Nahid. Asked him to pack some bread I took from the buffet table, and he said "I can pack it for you but it's secret". After that, M took it to the jetty and I met her there after signing the check. Fed most of the bread to some grey fish that monopolised everything. Saved some to feed the fish in front of our villa at the beach. | Chillin' with wine before dinner |

| Went back to room
and listened to the new Collective Soul compilation CD I bought from HMV before
the trip. After that decided to proceed to the Rangali Bar to check out the
live music. Turned out to be this guy playing 5 bazillion instruments. Ordered
a jug of margarita coz it cost only 15 USD. Didn't taste that great. Very sour.
After the visiting magician gave an intro act for his Monday night (Xmas eve)
act, we finished our drinks and went back to our villa. Realised that this
Michael Stipe lookalike and his moderately hot partner were the magicians.
